lyrics
So who do I tell now?
how my heart took a stroll around
And found the sweetest man aboard
A flight scheduled for a life abroad
Who do I tell now?
Enjoy it
Tuck in under the armpit of it
I spend my mornings
Forgetting about you
I get to bed I’m wasted
On what I barely tasted
Day jobs have got me
for days
(make a little cash so I can blow it all on you)
I’m willing to wait for you
to slip and say it first
say it first man...
Say it faster
than the days that became a week
became our last week
days love has got me
For days
(making so much love I could throw it all away)

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
